With another year over comes the opportunity to review the activity of that year.

In 2011 West Valley responded to 1207 Residential Alarms and 606 Commercial Alarms, maintaining an average response time of just 7 minutes.

This rapid response ensures that we continue to offer a crime prevention rate that is second to none, and more importantly it means we protect those things that are most important to you

December saw a dramatic increase in crime, reflecting the current financial climate. For some the pressure of Christmas creates a need to obtain funds from nefarious routes. Rather than “cutting their cloth to suit”, they see others’ property as a way of funding their own celebrations.

In recognition of this West Valley held a meeting with Greater Manchester Police
to discuss ways of combating crime and how to get the message across to the residents of the community, emphasising areas of which they should be aware.

West Valley took the pro-active approach with increased patrols and the employment of additional staff including an ex Police Officer. This approach was extremely successful in preventing incidents. We were also heavily involved in liaising with the police, ranging from reporting suspect vehicles with false number plates, to giving information about suspicions persons.

The protection of you, your property and, most importantly your loved ones, remains our utmost priority. In recognition of this commitment West Valley has invested in the formation of a Dog Section. We are please to welcome David Hope, a highly experienced professional Dog Handler together with his trained German Shepherd – Shadow. Both Officer and dog have been professionally trained by “NTIPDU” “National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users”

We at West Valley believe that this investment with the Dog Section will enable us to provide even higher levels of protection and crime prevention and, as a consequence, greater peace of mind for you. Combine that with our continual training programmes (using tactical and variable scenarios), you can be assured that we are constantly striving to achieve and provide the finest criminal deterrent service – a service you can trust.

It is no strange coincidence that, in uncertain times, the rate of crime related incidents increase. This is certainly true of today when many people are struggling to meet their financial commitments.

Sadly for some, the answer seems to be, if you haven’t got it – steal it! This is very much supported by the latest intelligence received from Police. In the last week (from 5th November) there have been 10 reported burglaries/attempted burglaries in the Hale area, the targets being residences of high net-worth.

West Valley Security Ltd was called out on 2 such occasions, preventing one attempt from any success, and restricting the impact on the other. In both instances, the perpetrators were armed with baseball bats suggesting the possibility of an aggravated break-in should the need arise.

With the Christmas period fast approaching, the probability is that the rate of these incidents will increase. As such may we advise extra vigilance whilst at home or when returning to your home and if in doubt call us out or call the police out?

West Valley Security Ltd provides an unparalleled residential security service in the Cheshire area. Call us today to see how we can help you protect those you love and the things you have worked hard to achieve.

A Message from the Director…

It goes without saying that, for many, we are living in difficult times. And sadly when times are hard crime rates begin to rise.

What is more worrying is that those seeking to cross the line to gain nefarious income are doing so with increased daring! All too often we encounter situations where homes are forcibly entered whilst the owners are in residence, the perpetrator not caring of the risk posed. This is particularly prevalent in the more affluent areas of Cheshire.

The romanticism some would attach of a Robin Hood attitude of stealing from the rich to feed the poor remains far from the reality where hard earned valuables are stolen to feed personal habits engendering a further need to steal.

We all recognise that the police do a marvellous job; however in many instances their resources are spread woefully thin, resulting in delayed emergency response times in excess of 30 minutes. Invariable this is too late, with the thieves long gone along with property leaving behind a trail of damage and physical/psychological harm.

The police can and do apprehend, however it is more often after the event when the damage has already been done!

West Valley does not pretend to be a solution to crime prevention and certainly cannot replace the role of the Police. What we can do is provide that additional peace of mind to the luxury home owners throughout the Cheshire area. All our officers are fully vetted and trained and can respond to alarm activation within minutes, often arriving whilst a burglary is in progress. Certainly on more than one occasion we have apprehended and detained the perpetrator pending the arrival of the police!

West Valley is proud to have been offering our service to an exclusive list of clientele for over 10 years and has earned an enviable reputation for professionalism and service. Our sole focus is the protection of you, your family and property providing you with the peace of mind that you can trust West Valley to be your premier emergency service.
